Yachtee is a platform connecting yachting professionals (crew) with recruiters (captains, owners, fleet managers), specialised in daywork across the Mediterranean.

We only collect data strictly necessary to operate the service:

• Identity data: email address, full name (provided at registration or via Google OAuth)
• Profile data: position, location, nationality, languages spoken, phone number (optional), profile photo (optional), professional certifications
• Availability data: geographic zones, availability dates, GPS coordinates (only if you activate a daywork alert and grant location permission)
• Usage data: connection logs, device type (via Supabase)

Your data is used to:

• Create and manage your account
• Display your profile to recruiters (if you are crew) or to crew (if you are a recruiter)
• Send real-time availability alerts
• Enable messaging between users
• Send push notifications (with your consent)
• Improve the service

We process your data on the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract for data necessary to operate the service
• Consent for geolocation and push notifications
• Legitimate interest for service improvement and security

Your data is never sold. It is only shared with:

• Other platform users: your public profile (name, position, location, certifications) is visible to registered recruiters. Your phone number is only visible if you have entered it.
• Supabase (database hosting and authentication) — servers in Europe
• Google (OAuth authentication, if you choose this option)
• OneSignal (push notifications, if you consent)
• Vercel (application hosting)

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data is erased within 30 days, except for data required by legal obligations.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right of access: obtain a copy of your data
• Right to rectification: correct your data
• Right to erasure: delete your account and data
• Right to portability: receive your data in a structured format
• Right to object: object to certain processing activities

Yachtee only uses functional cookies required for authentication (Supabase session). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
